EQUALITY FEDERATION: This national organization provides support for the efforts of state GLBT groups working to end homophobia and bring equality to all members of the community.

GAY AND LESBIAN VICTORY FUND: This group is the nation's largest GLBT political action committee and the only national organization dedicated to increasing the number of openly GLBT elected officials at all levels of government. 

GAY.COM: Operated by PlanetOut Inc., this impressive site offers a wealth of information for members of the GLBT community and is one of the largest online forums for community members.

GLAAD: The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination is dedicated "to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation."

GLBT HALL OF FAME: This is a community-based program designed to recognize and honor members and friends of the GLBT community who through direct effort and action have made an outstanding impact on the GLBT community and/or the worldwide community.

GLBT HISTORICAL SOCIETY: This organization collects, preserves, and interprets the history of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) people and the communities that support them.

GLBT NATIONAL HELP CENTER: This nonprofit group works to meet the needs of the GLBT community and offers telephonic and Internet support where people can discuss issues they may not feel comfortable discussing elsewhere.

GOOD AS YOU: This lively blog describes its focus as "gay and lesbian activism with a sense of humor."

HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN: Official Web site of America's largest civil rights organization for the GLBT community.

NATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN TASK FORCE: This group is dedicated to building "the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community."

ONE: NATIONAL GAY & LESBIAN ARCHIVES: Located in Los Angeles, ONE houses the world's largest research library on GLBT heritage and concerns.

OUTPROUD: This is the official online home of the National Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgender Youth and offers a broad range of resources for young people and educators.
